A Little About Me

I’m Ellie — a rural photographer with a deep respect for the work, land, and people that shape the agricultural industry.

I grew up on a farm in Western Australia’s wheatbelt, and I still work on farms today. Rural life isn’t something I visit for a shoot, it’s the environment I know, understand, and move within.

My work focuses on documenting pastoral and cropping operations, rural businesses, and ag-adjacent brands with honesty and intent. I’m drawn to the everyday realities of this work, the early mornings, the long days, the responsibility that comes with scale, and the pride that runs through it all.

Having hands-on experience in agriculture gives me a practical understanding of how operations run, how seasons shape the work, and when to step in — or stay out of the way. That means the images I create aren’t staged or performative. They’re grounded, candid, and respectful of the people doing the work.

I believe rural and agricultural work deserves to be documented properly, not polished into something it’s not, and not reduced to “lifestyle” imagery. My approach is about creating visual records that reflect reality, credibility, and legacy.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me riding horses, working on farms, or out in the bush, the same environments that continue to shape how I see and photograph the world.
